February 26, 1945 - March 29, 2022

Funeral services for Carol Gene Hardin will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Morse Cemetery. Carol Gene Hardin was born February 26, 1945 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Henry Thomas Hardin and Mary (Deer) Hardin. He passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his home in Wewoka at the age of 77. Carol attended Morse Schools as a child and later graduated from Mason High School. He was a retired environmental impact specialist for the Corporation Commission of Texas and had also previously worked with the Texas Railroad Commission. Carol enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, cooking for family gatherings and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud veteran having served his country with the United States Navy and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Gerald, Winslow, Bob, Dale and Van and two sisters, Wanda Bouldin and Joyce Hardin. Survivors include two brothers, Marshall Hardin of Okmulgee and Ronald Hardin and wife Cassie of Maude; one sister, Doris Sullivan of Okemah; special friend, Pat Phillips of Bearden; special nephew, Josh Dunegan of Glenpool and a host of other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Jarrod Vanderslice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Texas Angel Network.
