Danny Leon Duncan

July 13, 1962 - November 15, 2021

Funeral services for Danny Leon Duncan will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah. Danny Leon Duncan departed this life, November 15, 2021, at the age of 59. He was born, July 13, 1962 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Danny completed school in Shawnee, Oklahoma, graduating in 1980. He went to work at Tinker Air Force Base in November of 1980, and retired November 30, 2013 completing 33 years of service. Danny married Linda Sue Gaines in 1982. They had 2 children, Dana Lea and Mathew Austin Duncan. He was baptized in January 1989 and was a member of the South Rock Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Joyce Johnson, and Charley and Myrtle Duncan. He leaves behind his former wife, Linda Duncan; his children, Dana Lea and Mathew Duncan and Starla Demings and his girlfriend, Debbie Hollingsworth. Danny also leaves behind his parents, Jim and Glenda Duncan; his sister, Deborah Tefertiller; his brother, David and wife Denise Duncan. He leaves behind too, his dear nephews, Zachary and Dalton Duncan, Shane and Jerrod Walden and his star of joy, Shianne Duncan, his niece. Danny also leaves behind a host of friends whom he fished and hunted with. He continued to be good friends with many of his co-workers from Tinker. He loved old western movies and TV series and always had a funny story to tell. He will be so greatly missed by all of us. Active pallbearers will be Chris Combs, Chris Duncan, Zachary Duncan, Dalton Duncan, Alan Casey and Chad Niccum. Honorary bearers include Gerald Duncan, Brett Duncan, Bobby Johnson, Jeff Simpson, Jack Armitage, Brad Armstrong, Kevin Wilbourn, Jackie Miller, Gene Richardson, Rocky Dever, Logan Lasko, John Lasko and Dietmar Collins. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Mike Worrell, Matt Riffle and James Branscum.
