James Ray Barkley, of Paden, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 62. James was born in Prague, Oklahoma to Louis and Georgie (Ellison) Barkley on November 28, 1958. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Eddie Bluford; children, Christy Gail, Melissa Kay, James Lee and Ashley Nicole Barkley and his father in law, Charles McClain. James married Sonya McClain on March 21, 1980 in Welty, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sonya Gail Barkley of the home; his brother, Louis Barkley and wife Regina of Paden; sister, Virginia Wagner and husband Bob of Moore, Oklahoma; mother in law, Virginia McClain of Welty and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. He will be missed my so many family and friends. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
