Funeral services for Lorraine Mae Kerley will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Welty Church of God. Interment will follow at the Welty Cemetery. Lorraine Mae Kerley was born October 1, 1922 in Kiefer, Oklahoma to George Dotson and Ruby Lou (Arnold) Dotson. She passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her home in Castle, Oklahoma at the age of 95. Mrs. Kerley was a resident of Okfuskee County most all of her life. She and C.N. Kerley were married December 6, 1941 in Bristow, Oklahoma; he later preceded her in death June 1, 2014. Mrs. Kerley was a homemaker and member of the Welty Church of God. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and reading. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, three brothers, Bob, Gene and Earnest and four sisters, Lois, Ruth, Beulah and Alice. Survivors include three sons, Charles Kerley and wife Marilyn of Leander, Texas, Phillip Kerley and wife LaDonna of Oklahoma City and Mark Kerley and wife Kristi of Bristow, Oklahoma; four daughters, Charlotte Boyle and husband Norman of Oklahoma City; Judy McVeigh and husband Leon of Castle, Oklahoma, Anita Rowan and husband Jody of Welty and Paula Thomas and husband Frank of Durant, Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Serving as active pallbearers will be Brandon Rowan, Jeff McVeigh, Jason McVeigh, Dustin Kerley, Matthew Kerley and Frank Thomas. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Pastor Jacob Kleckner.
